Peta Jones is a celebrant authorised to conduct weddings, vow renewals, and naming ceremonies.
As a non-religious celebrant, her services are often sought by couples and families interested in some element of non-traditional ceremonies.
She’s based in northern New South Wales (the lucky duck), and has a really warm personality and somehow gives you the sense that she is ready for a big hug or a shared laugh at any moment. She is not only a treasured friend, but was also the celebrant for my own wedding – in a dinosaur-print dress.
Peta herself describes her celebrancy style as “short, sharp, to the point, affordable and chilled”, and says of being involved in people’s special moments: “I relate it to fishing or maybe anything based on the water: it’s relaxed and grounding and meditative, but also exciting and a rush of adrenalin.”
Peta’s deep affinity with nature is reflected in her logo, which includes illustrated native flowers and plants including wattle, wild daphne, and succulents. The pale aqua incorporated in the branding invokes a sense of calm and peace, while the pop of vermillion brings a sense of fun and excitement – bringing together the two defining elements of Peta’s services. The reverse version of the logo was perfect for partnering with the beautiful photos for her website. How great are weddings? Especially now everyone can have one ❤
